As a member of the Analysis Center of Excellence (ACE) team, you'll gain hands-on, real world experience and exposure to distribution center operations, process optimization and material handling technologies. You'll support exciting projects of leading companies all around the world to optimize their Supply Chains and contribute on internal initiatives to develop and continuously improve our state-of-the-art processes and tools.
This position will give the Analyst the opportunity to understand how to translate strategic objectives into specific recommendations and action plans.
The Analyst will learn how to analyze and develop what is needed to make the “business case” for proposed solutions.
The Analyst will gain practical experience in logistics execution, performance management, metrics and reporting.
The Analyst will have exposure to best practices, technologies and equipment used on world-class distribution operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Storing, gathering, and analyzing data by means of SQL, MS Excel and MS Access and other Fortna utilized programs/tools.
Data modeling using Fortna’s proprietary tools and package tools for financial and operational modeling.
Supporting delivery of solutions including business process redesign, distribution center (DC) design, organizational design, etc.
Researching as requested.
Designing and leading focus groups.
Writing and delivering high quality documentation and analysis.
Developing specific technical expertise, e.g., Network Modeling, DC Design, Operations Implementation, etc.
Developing and supporting internal business systems and processes.
Writing and contributing to white papers.
Develop new tools that will support our company different practices, this includes leading the research and look for the resources needed.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree with evidence of strong performance in engineering, logistics, or business
Excellent analytical and research skills
Power user of MS Excel and Access
Strong problem solving and management capabilities
Ability to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performance
Ability to develop structured problem-solving skills
High level comprehension of financial analysis
Ability to utilize good facilitation skills
Ability to develop research and knowledge management skills
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal
Desire to continually add value to and ensure accuracy and quality in all work performed
Ability to travel extensively both nationally and internationally approximately 25-50% of the time
