Cedar Wood is now recruiting for a Copywriter.  Our clients’ Marketing department is looking for a wordsmith! If you are a passionate and driven individual who will elevate their copy both strategically and creatively, please get in touch!

KEY OUTPUTS:
 The ability to write and edit copy in many forms while keeping to the integrity of the brand: brochures, website copy, itineraries, newsletters, etc.
 The ability to work with Brand Managers to source information about the destinations we operate in, and translate it into original and fresh copy for various forms of communication.
 Create SEO-optimised copy for the company website
 Write copy for targeted electronic newsletters to guests and our trade partners.
 Ensure the ongoing consistency of the company’s branding and wording.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
 Copywriting or journalism qualification
 Additional experience in Travel & Tourism, Conservation or Sustainability an advantage.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
 Exceptional writing and communication skills – non-negotiable
 At least 3 years’ experience in copywriting, preferably as part of an in-house copywriting team.
 Experience with writing for a variety of marketing purposes, including the digital space and public relations.
 Awareness of basic SEO writing principles.
 Demonstrable competencies such as team work, creative problem solving, flexibility, results driven, interpersonal skills (written, oral, listening, influencing).

 Communication – excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to get the message across by adopting a range of styles, tools and techniques appropriate to the audience and nature of information.
 Meticulous attention to detail – ability to retain focus on the details while writing about an extensive portfolio of products.

 Planning and organization – able to think ahead and prioritise activities.
 Resilience – strong ability to cope under pressure.
 Demonstrates an approach to work that is characterised by commitment, motivation and energy.
