  • End-to-end management of direct motor claims cost to achieve a target loss ratio
  • Establishing and maintaining adequate remuneration structures for:
  • Panelbeaters
  • Vehicle rental agencies
  • Autoglass suppliers
  • Vehicle parts suppliers
  • Towing companies
  • Vehicle salvage companies
  • Vehicle service centres
  • Vehicle replacement companies
  • Staff fleet suppliers
  • Contribute to the optimisation of assessment, claims fulfilment and control environment processes
  • Assess and evaluate the business case of the opportunity or challenge encountered through business scenarios across the following business functions:
  • Claims administration
  • Assessing
  • Actuarial
  • Business Intelligence
  • IT
  • Risk and Compliance
  • Finance
  • Payroll
  • Project management of initiatives identified to extract value in order balance the following Key Performance Areas:
    • Claims cost management
    • Customer service outcomes

  • Ensure effective hand-over of key projects to the supplier relationship management (SRM) team for operational execution and maintenance
  • Assess and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of service provider controls, processes and procedures through:
  • Process mapping & audit design
  • Data analysis
  • Risk identification and evaluation
  • Control implementation
  • Lead a team of auditor team managers to ensure that the following deliverables are met at an operational and tactical level:
    • Productivity
    • Cost-to-Recover (CTR)
    • Recoveries

 

  • Lead an audit team to ensure the following day-to-day operations are executed:
  • Staff projections
  • Audit sampling
  • Audit allocation
  • Performance management
  • Recoveries
  • Report editing
  • SharePoint administration
  • Competency testing
  • Lead a team to ensure that the following are administrated to support procurement processes w.r.t service provider:
  • Online portal
  • Applications
  • Profiles
  • Roadshows
  • Communication
  • Bulk payments
  • Oversight of the fleet administration function to ensure the following deliverables are met:
    • Fleet vehicle procurement and maintenance
    • Staff maintenance authorisations
    • Staff fuel, tracker and toll administration

 

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders:
    • Service Providers
    • Voluntary and Regulatory bodies in the industry
    • Internal departments

Duties:

  • Accurate and timeous reporting of relevant management information to Head of Procurement
  • Assist Head of Procurement in developing procurement policies, procedures, processes
  • Budget planning and cost management
  • Build strategic, professional and ethical relationships with internal clients and suppliers
  • Continuous improvement of training methods, performance measurement systems, underwriting standards etc.
  • Ensure procurement function’s compliance with company policies, procedures and IT standards, focussing on standardisation of processes
  • Overseeing department staffing – recruitment and selection
  • Performance management, including management of disciplinary processes
  • Process mapping & improvement
