    Job Purpose

    To develop and implement the Trade and Supply Chain Finance product for Personal and Business Banking customers in alignment with Moonshots objectives and Trade and Forex (Universal Capability) requirements.

    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

     

    Jobholders involvement in the Profitable Business Growth
    Develops the product offering in alignment with Moonshot’s objectives and the Universal Capabilities (e.g. Trade and Forex).
    Provides guidance to Sales teams on solutions that can be proposed to clients.
    Gathers information from the sales team regarding customer requirements in order analyse and then drive the amendment and improvement in the Trade and Supply Chain finance product service and delivery.
    Facilitates, recommends and drives product and process enhancements across product, operations and other relevant areas to improve the clients’ overall experience.
    Provides input into the pricing or any concessionary pricing of trade and supply chain finance to ensure the profitability of the product is maintained.
    In conjunction with PBB Finance ensures that the correct allocation of capital by Treasury Capital Management (TCM) is made per product type.
    Participates with the design and implementation of the tactics for the Sales team to minimise and/or simplify manual processes, reduce errors and recommend simplified operational processes.
    Assists in the design and implementation of risk appetite guidelines and documents to quickly identify if a trade transaction meets the criteria and due diligence required by the relevant risk team e.g. Credit
    Provides training material for Moonshot’s products and services to the sales teams and where required delivers training sessions to relevant staff within PBB.
    Interacts regularly with the Universal Trade and Forex Product Priority committee to ensure that Moonshot’s product and services requirements are priorities and delivered within acceptable time frame in order to provide PBB clients with an improved trade and supply chain product offering.

    Customer Experience
    Where required provide clients with training on the entire suite of trade product solutions enabling them to effectively engage with the bank on the Trade Finance and Trade Suite products.
    Provides the marketing team with trade and supply chain finance product information to enable them to compile world class marketing material and product collateral for the sales teams to provide to PBB clients.
    Provides the sales team with a relevant and well-prepared client presentation pack that in general addresses their needs and a sales toolkit of product collateral to enable the sales teams to provide the client with an immediate response to their product enquiries.
    Drives the streamlining and simplification of trade and supply chain product, processes and procedures to improve turnaround times in the execution of trade transactions for PBB clients.

    Client Solutions
    Provides advice and product input across the Trade and Supply Chain Finance value chains to Sales, Fulfilment, Operations, Account Executives, Relationship Managers, Credit, regulatory, legal and other internal stakeholders to ensure that the speedy completion of Trade and Supply Chain Finance solutions is implemented to the satisfaction of the client.
    Raises the profile of the bank externally with clients and external vendors through consistent professional engagement on PBB trade and supply chain finance products and solutions.
    Where required participates in pre-sales and/or pre-credit meetings to provide product and operational advice and to contribute to innovative and customised solutions tailored to meet client needs.

    Governance and risk management
    Adheres to all laws, regulations, governance frameworks, internal risk and compliance policies and controls and effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve market, operational and capital risk, conduct and compliance matters, in order to not expose the bank to reputational risk and fines/penalties.
    Reports risk and control gaps for risk remediation to relevant product owners and compliance officers.
    Participates in the design and implementation of the sales process from origination to deal execution in alignment with Moonshots objectives in order meet and exceed the Trade and Supply Chain Finance revenue and new business revenue growth targets.
    Participates in and where required leads in the engagement with internal and external auditors to resolve any audit queries or findings by providing timely feedback to relevant audit team.

     

     

    Preferred Qualification and Experience

     

    Qualifications
    Business Commerce Degree
    Trade related courses and / or certificates, issued by recognised organisations such as the International Chamber of Commerce.

    Experience
    5-7 years Previous experience within the financial services industry understanding the banks Trade and Supply Chain products, services and processes and through engaging the value chain introducing improvements in the products and their processes.
    5-7 years Experience in engagements with trade and supply chain bodies e.g. International Chamber of Commerce, Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce
