Job Description

• Manage allocated complex contracts during tender phase to ensure timely submission, and contracts are commercially favourable and compliant with  Company Policy.
• Clearly identify all risks and comply to needs such as cash flow analysis.
• Works closely with all relative departments to ensure best possible interactions
• Know the formal and informal goals, standards, policies and is sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the department.
• On a regular and continuous basis, exercise administrative judgement and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional areas.
• Work closely with the Minerals Sales organization and business lines to manage all simple and complex commercial tenders to meet RFQ requirements.
• Understand and implement to ensure applicable laws and terms of condition of sales are met
• Ensure proposal follow the company’s Musts, Proposal Management and Minerals Sales processes.
• Ensure all deliverables are met.
• Review and compile deviations to tender and liaise with Legal and Commercial experts where required
• Ensure that firm proposals follow the established approval grid.
• Ensure final contracts are within the company’s approval limits.
• Assist with client contract negotiations when required.
• Provide commercial support to enhance project profitability and margins.
• Ensure quality handover documents for implementation.

Qualifications

• Matric
• Tertiary Degree or Diploma

Skills

• Candidate with 5 years + proposal management experience - Process Engineering and/or commercial contract experience will be advantageous
• Experience in Mining/Construction industry is essential
• Able to collate, analyse and evaluate data to enable business decision making
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Good knowledge of Salesforce (advantageous)
• Good Knowledge of Various Forms of Contracts
