Qualifications:

  • Relevant Qualification in Supply Chain / Procurement / Business Administration / Commerce essential

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-3 years technical experience, AND
  • Minimum 1-3 years management experience
  • Procurement / Supply Chain experience in construction industry advantageous

Job Specification...

Duties:

  • Accurate and timeous reporting of relevant management information to Procurement General Manager
  • Assist the Procurement General Manager in developing of procurement policies, procedures, processes
  • Build strategic, professional and ethical relationships with internal clients and service providers
  • Ensure all business systems are updated with the relevant contract information and documentation
  • Manage the performance of service providers in line with the SLA (Service, Transformation and Cost)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a panel of service providers to ensure that the following deliverables are met at operations committee (OPSCO) level:
    • Customer Service
    • Transformation / B-BBEE
    • Cost management
  • Contract administration
  • Root-cause analysis and corrective action on service failures
  • Performance management and contract termination
  • Supply and demand balancing across South Africa
  • Fair and transparent application & appointment process
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders
    • Service Providers
      • General enquiries/complaints resolution
      • Market research and pricing data
      • Discussions, negotiations and communication around rates, fees and discounts
      • Meeting facilitation
    • Assessing, Claims and Customer Liaison Team (CLT) functions
    • Procurement function
      • Non-motor commercial team
      • Administrators
    • Voluntary and Regulatory bodies in the industry
