Description

A Production planner oversees production planning according to Sales demand, service level agreements and Company quality standards. He/she will be the one to ensure that the Company’s products are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner to uphold service level agreements.
Job Requirements

Preparing production and operation schedules for manufacturing purposes according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
Ensuring that each operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
Analysing production specifications and plant capacity data by conducting mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes and tools.
Planning the sequence of assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
Determining the status of assigned projects, expediting operations that delay schedules and altering schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Essentially the candidate undertakes in planning activities to ensure targets are met and optimises manufacturing efficiency, stock levels and costs.
Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Operations management or any other relevant tertiary degree.
3-5 years’ production planning experience within a manufacturing or related environment is essential.
Experience in ERP systems (SYSPRO knowledge will be advantageous).
MS Office knowledge.
