Description

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Identify and maintain the standards for project management within the organization
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within cost and are accurately scoped
Standardize and introduce savings of repetition in the execution of projects
Provide guidelines and metrics on the practice of project management and execution
Direct and manage all Fundi projects
Monitor and report on all active projects
Reporting on progress to top management for strategic decisions on projects
Benefits realization tracking on all projects
Implementation of the Agile approach to project management Ensure that projects are in line with strategy and monitor during and after the project lifecycle
Distribute the required resources for project planning and execution
Developing and maintaining a detailed project plans
Ensure that the project deliverables in line with the project plan.
Maintain project scope and change controls
Ensure monitoring project progress and performance
Evaluation of project and dissemination activities
Identifying user training needs and devising and managing user training programs
Providing regular status reports to the relevant parties, during the project life cycle
Identify and ensure quality assurance procedures are met and followed
Potential project risks are proactively identified, and mitigation plans put in place to reduce risk
Risk mitigation plans are applied to minimize impact
Engage at a senior level to understand customer needs and provide input into project-based solutions in order to support and influence business decisions
Continuously engage with Project sponsors and owners to ensure delivery of projects according to business requirements
Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Define and agree on the critical success factors and project KPI's
Provide input into test strategies and procedures
Live the company values and lead by example
Manage leave
Work in collaboration with the HC Business Partner to:
Capacitate the team (recruitment and training)
On-board new employees
Manage performance, ensure all employees have a development plan
Recognise and reward high performance
Change leadership
Disciplinary action

Requirements

Degree in Project Management or related
At least 5 years’ experience in Business and project management with minimum 2 years managerial experience
Experience in Financial services would be advantageous
