•Proactive approach in servicing clients
•Developing and updating competitors service offerings
•Gathering market intelligence / information in terms of freight service opportunities, competitor activities and reports accordingly
•Determining customer needs and demonstrate Triton Express’ services to them to suit their requirements, adding value to their business and formally present the business proposal
•Negotiating prices and price increases
•Working on continuously improving marketing strategies
•Achieving agreed sales targets
•Planning, organizing, follow-up and effectively communicating progress to clients
•Inputting of work to optimize the operations department capability
•Effective management of PENTAGON system & processes
•Planning weekly/monthly visitations
•Auctioning existing business strategies

Maintaining client services and sales volumes by:

•Handling client enquires, queries, problems and facilitating resolutions
•Conducting monthly and weekly service call visitations
•Courtesy calls and follow up calls
•Identifying and capitalizing on service / sale extension opportunities
•Advising rate increases and processing procedural changes
•Building client relationships at all levels
•Scheduling and maintaining client visitation roster
•Identifying client sales volume declines and implementing corrective action
•Gaining additional business within the existing business portfolio

Sales Administration:

•Monitoring client activity
•Preparing monthly visitation reports
•Ensuring that all information from sales is detailed and accurate
•Generating accurate quotes for all work requirements
•Preparing / submitting weekly existing business reports
•Preparing recommended proposals and rate adjustments for Sales Manager’s approval
•Presenting CSA reports to clients monthly
•Updating meeting minutes – client visitations

Quality Assurance:

•Ensuring all necessary measures are in place to guarantee customer satisfaction


•Grade 12 minimum (Matric)
•3 - 4 Years sales experience
•Experience in Freight / transport related industries
•MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint software applications
•Understanding of Freightware or similar
•Management systems
•Selling process and techniques
•Basic principles of marketing
•General understanding of operations
•Computer literate
•Account management
•Basic selling skills
•Commercial arithmetic calculations
•Writing progress reports / proposals, conduct formal presentations
•Own transport to and from work, including client visitations
