Description

    • A career opportunity exists for a Production Team Leader, based at the Snackworks Rosslyn factory, and reporting directly to the Production Manager. The purpose of the role is to safely produce required quantities of SKU’s at the right time, at the quality, and at right cost with labour within the budget. The successful candidate will have a relevant Engineering or Operations Management qualification coupled with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
      Duties and Responsibilities

      Adherence to production plan (SKU availability to meet customer requirements and OEE targets) Manage authorized and unauthorized down-time/OEE Generate packaging and raw material pick-lists Stock and waste control Cost control Conduct and Facilitate Stock Take Safety health and environment incident and accident investigation Safety meeting attendance and reporting Safety and quality compliance with legislative requirements Implement and maintain Food Safety regulations, GMP management and SHEQ practices Quality Control (Product conforms to specifications and adhere to process parameters) Lead green area meetings Ensure IR procedures are complied with (e.g. absenteeism, poor work performance, etc.) Develop, train and motivate production team Encourage innovation and continuous improvement

      Experience Required

      A minimum of 2 years Supervisor or Team Leader experience in production within a FMCG environment essential
      Minimum Qualifications Required

      Grade 12 A relevant completed tertiary qualification in Chemical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or Operations Management
      Knowledge Required

      Good knowledge of HIRA / OHS Solid technical abilities (Process calculations) Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook Good knowledge of Industrial Relations Strong leadership and communication skills Must be able to work shift work and overtime
