My name is Christian Daniel Isaacs and currently fill the role of IT Support Specialist with Global Edge Technologies. I am responsible for the Infrastructure of our company which resides in Old Mutual Park Pinelands.
We have two domains, Development domain which is local and Production domain, which is hosted in Azure and use Office365.
My responsibilities include - Mobile Device Management, Antivirus (Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, VMWare and Citrix Environment, Veritas Backup and Restore, vRanger Backup and Restore.
I am so grateful to have grown so much the last two years, as I’ve been exposed to new technologies eg.VeeAm as well upgrading Citrix environment to later version.
Also, primary contact for data center hardware Vendor.
My previous role was Microsoft Systems Engineer with
MMI Holdings LTD. I resigned from MMI Holdings end of February 2016 to start my own
Transport business. I would appreciate it, if you could give me the opportunity to resume
my IT career with your institution.
I started my IT career in 2002 as Helpdesk agent with Metropolitan. Because of my
character to continually improve myself i systematically moved from Helpdesk Agent >
Installation Engineer > Desktop Engineer > Call Center Support Engineer > VIP Support
Engineer and departed at the end February 2016 as Systems Engineer from MMI
During my time at MMI Holdings i learned how to deal with disgruntled clients while
being a Helpdesk agent. As Desktop Engineer i learned how to handle impatient users
both onsite and remotely and in the process friendships and camaraderie were created.
I also was privileged to do technical support for Top Management including the CEO
and Finance Director, where i learned to be respectful and honest at all times, values
that i now owned.
During my stay at MMI Holdings LTD I’ve been exposed to a lot of different
technologies, because of the size of the organization and different business units. I was
also exposed to IT projects of which in some cases were taking the lead.
One of my key achievements was my innovation presentation to the business, which
was to virtualize the onsite Call Center, something i am very proud to call my idea.
I have learned to always be humble, respectful and honest.
