My name is Varsha Avani Algu and I'm an honours marketing graduate from the University of Johannesburg with a year experience as a marketing assistant in an FMCG environment. Am an artist and a creative who also loves numbers and statistics. and that's why I am so passionate about marketing. It combines everything I love and it's a constantly changing environment where I am always learning.
What I do have to offer for this position is a years worth of experience in FMCG where I was involved in various campaigns including an entire brand relaunch. During that one year I learned a wide range of skills that allow me to adapt to different environments, meet deadlines and bring a sense of creativity to every project. I worked extensively with Microsoft office and I was able to balance multiple projects at once. My practical experience doesn't end there. In my honours year I worked on real life projects for big companies such as Colgate, PPS, Absa and Paul's Bakery. Just to name a few. These projects gave me the valuable skills that I needed when it comes working in a team, presenting to top executives as well as learning how different industries work.
I am a determined worker who can easily adapt to all environments, and I perform each task to the best of my ability. During this lockdown I have taken it upon myself to broaden my skills. I have a Google Digital Skills for Africa Certificate, Google Analytics for Beginners certificate, Google Ads Search Certification and a HubSpot Inbound Certification. I am currently doing online courses for Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and VBA. I always want to learn and broaden my skills as I believe that there's always more to learn, and the more you learn, the more you grow.
I am willing to tackle any challenge that is thrown at me and I hope to be a millennial that can bring a unique sense of innovation and creativity to your company
