I have been in a managers position since 1990.
My work ethics is exceptional and very important to me.
I have been fortunate to manage people as well as resources with great success and have seen people grow into various positions due to my ability to lead. A good example is when I took over as commander of Buffalo flats detective service , the unit was nowhere with regards to performance and within short period of time the unit was no 1 in the East London area until my transfer in 2011.
I was then placed in another management position where I had to manage 8 different units as well as 3 specialized units and here too, with hard work and dedication our performance grew steadily and a great deal of success was made regarding serious and sensational crime related investigations.
I am good at managing people and pride myself as one of the top investigators within the East London area. All though I am no longer part the SAPS, I still have a passion for management and investigation and have kept up to date with the relevant law requirements.
Part of my functions as Cluster detective coordinator was Human Resources and this also included OHSE as well EE of each detective office. My positions also required me to ensure that I was up to date with labour relations and procedures .
I have done the relevant management courses as well as a basic financial course. I am also trained as a trainer. Due to my experience I am very good at reading people. My people skills are excellent and I am able to get the best out of each individual that I work with.
There is no grey area's with me, it is either right or wrong and that has contributed to my success.
